Mission
Jump! Theatre’s mission is to present quality works of theatre that tell authentic stories of mental illness from a variety of perspectives. Jump! develops plays, short works and solo pieces written by local authors using a dramaturgical process that incorporates a direct understanding of the challenges faced by artists with emotional disabilities or mental illness. We source our work through outreach to the San Francisco theater community as well as to other local social service organizations, schools, and personal contacts with playwrights and writers.
Company
Jump is made up of company members, associate artists, and the many collaborators who have worked with us to create and perform our work. Read about our staff here, or our members and associate artists here.
History
Jump! was founded in 2005, and since has developed many original works through its Springboard Project, some of which have received Mainstage productions or toured to community groups.
